PS4 not connecting or it is connected but screen blank

Hi please can you help with this

ps4 was working fine. Now switch on ps4, Samsung tv recognises it . Click on icon. PS4 image comes up- they goes black and can’t connect

ive changed hdmi ports, tv software up to date, swapped to new hdmi lead , done hdmi troubleshooting and it says no problem with hdmi lead - arghhh - what is going on

Hi @Neilppp! Thank you for reaching out.  It sounds like you may need to reset the resolution on your PS4.  in order to do that you'll need to follow these steps:

While off, press and hold the power button on PS4, passed the first beep, and release after the second beep.

Then select 2. Change resolution.

This should get you on your way.  If not, let us know and we can look into other troubleshooting, but more than likely, this will get you right.  Don't hesitate to come back if needed.

So you have another hdmi device you can try? Like a streaming device or another console or dvd/bluray player? If you plug one of those in using the same cable an sport that you have the PS4 plugged into and it works then thr issue is likely with your PS4

The order you turn them on sometimes matters. Or the settings on your TV.
