Red light on bottom of my oled tv

When my tv is powered off the red light in the bottom corner stays on- is this normal?

Yes. It is normal

That is the standby light to let you know that the TV is powered.  My TV (not a Samsung) has a setting to turn the light off, check your manual and/or settings to see if your TV has such a feature.

Rather common feature on many brands some allow you to turn off the stand by light
