Displaying my laptop screen on my monitor and charging my laptop with the same cable has been possible at my workplace with the below combinations:

Combination 1
Cable: ThinkPad USB-C with USB-A
Laptop: Dell Latitude 5430
Monitor: Lenovo T23i-10
Dock: Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 pro

Combination 2
Cable: ThinkPad USB-C with USB-A
Laptop: Dell Latitude 5430
Monitor: HP P34hc G4 (has a USB-C port)

I'm trying to achieve the same at home with the below devices, but have been unsuccessful.
Cable: ThinkPad USB-C with USB-A
Laptop: Dell Latitude 5430
Monitor: Samsung F24T452F 24 (doesn't have a USB-C port)
Dock: ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A

Could anyone advise on whether it would be possible to display my laptop screen on my monitor and charge my laptop with the same cable using the above devices?

With the ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock, you should be able to connect your Dell Latitude 5430 using a single USB-C cable to the dock for both charging and data. Then, use an HDMI or DisplayPort cable from the dock to your Samsung monitor for video output. This setup should replicate the functionality you have at your workplace.
