My ViewFinity S49C950 powers my laptop through the USB-C power delivery. As of now when my monitor goes into standby mode or turns off due to inactivity it also stops powering my laptop and the monitor USB hub. My laptop is set to always on so it runs out of power after a few hours.
I want the display to go black (standby) or turned off after an hour or so WITHOUT turning off the power delivery or the USB hub. Anyone know if this is possible?
There is no provision in the User Manual for doing so.
From the User Manual: " When charging with a USB Type-C cable, malfunction may occur depending on the device type. In this case, use the provided charger or consult the manufacturer of the device."
