I just purchased the G9 and with a DP 2.1 cable, it doesn't let me do 240Hz using the 5120x1400 resolution. I can do 120Hz that way. If I go back to 3840x1080 (which it shows as recommended) I can do 240Hz, but then everything on the screen is distorted.

I've tried everything, but nothing seems to work. I'm using a PC, latest drivers for everything. I tried to change the settings on the monitor, the best I could get was to go from 60Hz to 120Hz.

Anyone got any suggestions or solutions perhaps, it'd be greatly appreciated!!

What GPU are you using to drive the monitor?

Did you read page 20, 41 and 42 of your user manual?

I have 2 1080. I read the manual, and that didn't help. It's weird as 240Hz works, on 1080, but not 1440p.

Driving 3840x1080 @ 240 or 5120 x 1440 @ 120 seems doable for the 1080's but, 5120 x 1440 @ 240 is beyond the 1080's ability.

It's either be happy with 5120 x 1440 @ 120 or start shopping to replace your 7 year old GPU.

Newer GPUs use a PCIE Gen 4/5 interface which means an upgrade for the motherboard also.

Bandwidth requirements is a harsh mistress when it comes to feeding new high performance monitors.

Hello @Sil3nce96! Thank you for reaching out! @ddaniel51 is correct unfortunately the 1080's will not support this resolution and refresh rate combo.
