Monitors and MemoryI have a c27f591 Samsung curved monitor, with built in speakers. I was using it with a laptop for the last year fine, now I had to change the laptop, and my new laptop doesn't recognize the monitor as a source of the sound on Hdmi.
I've tried every steps I've found on the internet to fix the issue, but it didn't help.
- Among the sound devices I don't see the monitor listed (not even hidden), there are only the default laptop speakers
- I've tried to reinstall the video card driver, but it didn't help
- I've tried to reinstall the audio drivers, but the same, no success
- I've even tried to change the type of extension, and the hdmi cable, but no success (and the same hdmi cable was working for me before).
Please help 😞
Thank you!
Anton

Monitors and MemoryHey, give this link a shot: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01110668/ If this does not help I recommend letting a service technician have a look. As we would like to gather additional information and look at this from a case by case basis please provide the full model code and the serial number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.
