Monitors and MemoryI have a 980 Pro 2TB SSD with Heat Sink. It has firmware 4B2QGXA7. Magician says update firmware to 5B2QGXA7. When doing the Firmware Update it says wait 20 seconds then fails. It says "Failed to update firmware on the selected drive."
I am running Windows 11 Pro 22H2 on an Intel NUC11TNBi7 i7 1165G7 with 64GB Ram.
All Software on the NUC is up to date using the Intel Driver and Support Assistant.
What is going on here?

Monitors and MemoryProblem solved on Windows 11 Pro 22H2!
All Firmware now updated.
It is Microsoft blocking the updates by default through Controlled Folders.
Thank you tanner1.
Solution for Windows 11 Pro 22H2
Go to Privacy & Security > Windows Security
Click 'Open Windows Security' at the Top
'Security at a Glance' opens
Click 'Protection history' at the Bottom
Click items that say 'Protected folder access blocked'
Repeat this until you find one related to Samsung Magician
When you find one related to a SamsungMagician*.exe click the bottom link 'Controlled folder access settings'
Select 'Allow an app through Controlled folder access'
Select '+ Add an allowed app'
I allowed the following executables through:
MigrationService.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician\MigrationService
SamsungMagician.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician
SamsungMagicianSVC.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician
I also added the following for my Samsung T5 Portable Drive
SamsungPortableSSD.exe
C:\ProgramData\Samsung Apps\Portable SSD
Reboot the Computer
I was immediately able to use Samsung Magician to update my 980 Pro firmware to 5B2QGXA7.
I was also immediately able to update the firmware on my Samsung T5 2TB portable drive.
I was unable to update either Samsung Drive prior to allowing access to the Controlled Folders on Windows 11.
Yeah!!
Shwing!!
** Received Samsung warning saying somethings may have changed due to HTML

Monitors and MemoryCongratulations!
I still haven't got a resolution.
I don't have Controlled Folders enabled. The Protection History page shows no entries and says "Check apps and files is off. Your device may be vulnerable."
I uninstalled Norton 360 and ensured Controlled Folders were still disabled.
The problem still occurs.
I am thinking now that at least one of the Akamai web servers that is in the web farm serving https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/ has the data-an-la tag value coded correctly and either by luck or by region of the country or world, my PC never accesses the web server with the correct data-an-la tag value.
