Galaxy A20 no longer has a QR Scanner in Camera settings

My Galaxy A20 no longer has a QR Scanner option when opening up the camera. Had to download a third party app to scan codes. Tech support couldnt help and suggested going to a Samsung service center to try to resolve. Anyone else have this issue?

by chance when you pull down your quick panel twice to extend the icon options, do you have the scan QR code icon there?

No it's not there, we then reset the settings and still nothing.

ok, so let's try this....

In Samsung Internet, tap on the menu (3 bars) and tap on the settings, then under Advanced tap on Useful Features. Then make sure the option for QR code scanner is turned on. Now, go back to Samsung Internet and if you tap on your address bar, a little QR code icon will show up on the side of the address bar. You can tap that and it will open up the QR scanner...

Sure no problem, can you please relay to the dev team that the QR Scanner needs to put back in the camera options as well.

well, any issues you find should be reported in the Samsung Members app, under the get help tab, then scroll down to error report and feedback list are. you can report issues. I don't work for Samsung, I'm just a user like you that tries to help other users with issues if I can 😁
