Projectors & Other TVsHow do you turn off the auto-detect HDMI feature? Sometimes my Apple TV comes on and then the TV automatically turns on as well but I don't want the TV to do so. How do you turn off this feature?
Thanks,
Mark

Projectors & Other TVsSuch a hugely frustrating issue.
Be nice if we could get a reply from Samsung as to what they are doing to fix this?? Optimistic I know!
If it's not fixed this will be the last Samsung TV I own. Fed up with all the little issues with them, especially these 2016 sets.

Projectors & Other TVsThis is the same thing that happened to me, except in my case I only pressed the eject button on my PS3 to extract my game cd.
We need to start another thread for this problem since Samsung thinks this one is SOLVED ? ? ?

Projectors & Other TVsThe same here in the Netherlands. Also a topic going on about this 'feature'. No constructive solution other than "switch off Anynet+" which is not solving the problem as we all know. Hopefully Samsung understands this is not just local but global!

Projectors & Other TVsThis is truly unfortunate. I'm going to have to return this TV because of this issue. When you set the input source to PC mode, it should stay in that mode, no matter if your device is powered off or not. If i ever change the device that input source is connected to i'm more than capable of changing the input source manually at that point. I don't need the TV to try to be so dang smart and screw it up!

Projectors & Other TVsI have the same input source switching problem with a Bose sound bar:
I have a 2016 65" HD8000 curved Samsung TV. This weekend I bought a Bose Soundtouch 300 soundbar and Acoustimass subwoofer.
The Bose soundbar is connected, per instruction manuals, with an HDMI cable to the HDMI3 ARC on the Samsung TV. The Samsung anynet+ CEC must be turned on (the only menu options are on or off) to use the soundbar, and to control it with the same remotes as the TV. The Cable box is on HDMI 1. The DVD player is HDMI2.
When turning the TV on, along with Cable and Bose Soundbar, the TV initially sources with Cable (HDMI1) and audio is through the Soundbar. After 5-10 seconds, the source automatically redirects to the soundbar on HDMI3 (ARC).
There appears to be no way to prevent this automatic switching. I would suggest that Samsung needs to provide an option to eliminate automatic HDMI input switching, or to set an input as a default that will not switch until done so manually.
And again Samsung moderator, the issue is not solved.

Projectors & Other TVssame in Belgium and the eu-forum.
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/TV-Audio-Video/UE55KS7000/td-p/139938
Already Usa, Europe and oceanië involved.
Samsung you can't wait for Africa also...
Halve the world is already infected by the lack of solving this with a simple "disable auto-detect" , this can't be a big issue to add disable by one of your programmers / code writers. Some capable engineer must be able to change the code during his lunch-break ...
Regards

Projectors & Other TVsFIRST POSTED YESTERDAY:
I have the same input source switching problem with a Bose sound bar:
I have a 2016 65" HD8000 curved Samsung TV. This weekend I bought a Bose Soundtouch 300 soundbar and Acoustimass subwoofer.
The Bose soundbar is connected, per instruction manuals, with an HDMI cable to the HDMI3 ARC on the Samsung TV. When turning the TV on, along with Cable and Bose Soundbar, the TV initially sources with Cable (HDMI1) and audio is through the Soundbar. After 5-10 seconds, the source automatically redirects to the soundbar on HDMI3 (ARC).
THIS IS THE RESPONSE FROM SAMSUNG SUPPORT:
Thank you for contacting Samsung. I understand that your TV model: UN65H8000 is turning on with the HDMI 1 input source initially, but it is switching the source to HDMI 3 ARC after 5-10 seconds and you would like to prevent the TV from switching the source. I see that you have connected a Bose Sound bar to the TV via the HDMI 3 ARC port and cable box to the HDMI 1. I understand your requirement. However, it is a normal operation of the TV when connecting a Sound bar via HDMI ARC port and enabling the Anynet+ feature. You may need to change the source manually to HDMI 1 using the remote control when the TV is turned on. I will take it as a feed back from your end. Hope you understand.

Projectors & Other TVsWe apologise for the confusion. In regards to your concern, please be informed that your television has 'HDMI Quick Switch' feature. Once the television detects signal from the connected device, it will will automatically switch the source depending on what HDMI port the external device is connected. Please be informed that it is not a fault.
So, HDMI Quick Switch is to blame, but who knows how to turn it off? Turning Anynet+ off on the TV disables features I would rather keep
