Projectors & Other TVsHello,
I purchased a UN65J8500 3 years ago and just recently, within the last 2 months, I started noticing what looks to be light spots shinning through the panel. These light spots are especially noticeable on solid colors.
I've posted a couple of images of what it looks like:
Is this something that I can fix or is this panel not worth saving?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
cheers,
devin

Projectors & Other TVs@Anonymous
My TV is doing the exact same thing; we have seen the spot that started out smaller and has grown on the left edge as can be seen in this pictures.
I would appreciate your assistance with this issue. Clearly it seems to be an issue with this model UN65JS8500FXZA.

Projectors & Other TVsI have the same problem with my UE55JS8500TXXU. You can see the light edges on both sides of the screen.
Is there a way to resolve this that anyone knows of please?
Thanks
Richard

Projectors & Other TVsMy 65 inch js9000 has been getting worse lately. It's definitely noticeable on any picture now. Not just solid colors. I've had it for just over 4 years. Any recall yet?

Projectors & Other TVsI just got the dreaded "sorry it's out of warranty" reply from Samsung. They really don't seem to care about their customers or repeat business.

Projectors & Other TVsMy tv is the same model number and the same size. I contacted Samsuck and they said SORRY out of warranty. It is not even 4 yrs old and it looks terrible. Such a shame to spend the $$$$$$ I did and find that this is a chronic problem and Samsung refuses to do anything about it. I called the local company that was recommended for service by Samsuck and they pronounced it DEAD.
You can be sure never another Samsuck product will ever come across the threshold of my home!
Think about this company a moment.......washing machines that were exploding.......phones that were doing the same and catching on fire when charging and now tv's that have this problem of light streaks and expensive tv's.
I say HELLO LG and or Sony!
Oh, I forgot to mention that I am in Real Estate and always recommend products to buyers when asked for opinions.
