I want to send an completely new, independent text message to a reciepient that already has a conversation in my inbox.

I want this message displayed sepertately since it is on a different subject and and not linked to any other message.

The app insists on adding the new converstion to an existing conversation when I compose the new message.

How can I make this function just like a typical email program?  When a new email is composed (in my case Gmail) a new, separate sent email is generated.  I can have 10 emails to the same recepient all show independently (as they should becasue they are of a different subject matter).

I am using a S21 phone.

Thanks for any help.

@philn145 You can't. This is the way that DM (direct messaging) works. It only uses phone number to delineate messages.
