Is anyone else having problems where the gallery is downloading old or duplicate photos then not find them to remove them with the duplicate feature?

Yes, my brother also has this on his phone, he did not find a solution, it has duplicates and is not organized, this is a bug in many phones

Open the Gallery and tap on the three lines at the bottom right. Then, select "Suggestions" and scroll down to "Delete duplicate pictures." You will then see the duplicate pictures and can delete them.

Do you have a backup for photos set up? If you have Microsoft OneDrive, it'd constantly re-download from the backup and was super annoying lol

How are you identifying duplicates?

Be aware that ALL photos will show in the recent "album". This is not a real album. It merely shows photos identified by Samsung’s recent algorithm.

Therefore, for example, you will see a photo taken by your camera in the Camera album AND the Recent album. These are NOT duplicate photos. The photo is physically located in the Camera album and only shown in the Recent album.
