This morning I woke up and turned on my tv to realize that there is no Samsung TV plus app. It used to always be the first thing that would open automatically, the first app in the Smart Selection. It literally is GONE. I have never had an app just disappear like that, more specifically the own company’s app for their free provided tv service which is WHY I purchased their TV. Let’s fix this Samsung. Please and Thank You

It's not take deleted. It's just not working, so your tv thinks it's deleted.
Your can also watch the Samsung TV Plus app in your Samsung phone for free.

What do I need to do if I did a factory reset due to this issue?

Looks like you need to redo everything on your television that you had set and then wait for them to fix the issue because a factory reset did nothing but wipe your TV back.

If it makes you feel any better, it probably happened to me and many others as well, trying to fix the issue or issues same as you. 😅🤣

I was this close🫸🫷to factory resetting my tv. I'm so glad 😊 I decided to do a bit of research beforehand. Can you imagine? Re-entering all your streaming services, usernames, passwords, internet info? Oh jeez 😬 I apologize if I upset anyone.

It's pretty easy to get back into most all the apps now, change your preferences back, setup 4k picture again (recalibrate) all hdmi devices, but it's definitely meticulous & frustrating to people when it was entirely pointless & they spent hours on a phone or chat to fix something that Samsing could just have told everyone they were working on. 🫠 At least we're all experiencing this boat ride together somewhat. 😆 🤣🤝

I did the factory reset before reading this. Taking very long for Netflix and Prime video to reinstall from the hub. Any information about this is greatly appreciated.

Am I understanding correctly?  No one will have any Samsun Plus channels for 24 - 48 hours?

FYI - it's only affecting TVs; the mobile app and back-end streaming service are unaffected, so as a work-around you can watch on a phone, tablet, or laptop instead and cast to the TV if desired. To be clear, the absurdity of watching TV on a phone and casting it to the TV because the TV can't get TV is not lost on me, but it is what it is.
