Why can't I comment to replys on my own post? On this app

O what the  I just made a post yesterday and I was just reviewing someone's answer and it wouldn't let me reply. the comment bubble to start typing wasn't popping up

Do u only have a certain amount of time to comment on a reply or something

If the originator of the post has accepted a comment as a solution, then the thread closes and no further comments can be added.
