my SmartTag2 was registered to my stolen Samsung A35phone.  I have a new A35 and want to link it to the new phone. The message is "this tag belongs to someone else".  It doesn't actually, it's just registered via my stolen phone. How can i reset the tag so i can use it?

Are you looking under the smartthings app? As long as you're logged in with the same account that registered it you should not be getting that error

Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately that does not work.  I have reinstalled the smartthings app and it still claims to be registered to someone else.  Is it registered to the phone or the account holder. From the action so far, it seems to be aligned to the phone.

If so, I need a way to reset the smarttag2 itself.

I would have suggested resetting it but that doesn't fix it being married to an account unfortunately
