Amazon Tablets app no longer supported

Amazon shopping app no longer works on Samsung tablet.  Have to use Amazon website instead.  I guess everybody is getting this error message?  I tried to re-install the app but that didn't fix it.  Is Amazon trying to lose customers?

The phone app supports portrait and landscape.

Try uninstalling "Amazon for Tablets" and then install the regular "Amazon Shopping" app, which is now available for tablets. It worked for me.

You'll sometimes get this when an OS upgrade is lurking and you haven't yet seen the notification. As of Nov 5, just saw an OS update for the S8. try running all the necessary OS + software updates and then force close and reopen the app.

There is no OS update (One UI 6) for the Tab S8/S9 right now.

SOLVED.

Amazon tablets app no longer supported but Amazon Shopping app is supported.

This is how I solved this problem:

1. Settings. Apps. Amazon. Force stop. Clear data. Clear cache. Uninstall app.

2. Play Store. Amazon Shopping app (not tablet version). Install.

Amazon's instruction to use their website is wrong. Ignore it.
