I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ - One UI 6.1 - Samsung Gallery 15.5.02.4

The 'Select essentia albums' setting only hides the Recent directory at the top of the UI.

Below the divider there is another Recent directory, can this alsobe hidden?

Here's a screenshot showing the second Recent directory below Favorites

Thanks!

@SamyIT That isn't an album or a directory. That menu doesn't show any albums. The albums would be listed if you opened the spinner to the left of Albums.

Hi @LongHiker

The second Recent listed under the Favorites, shows the recent images and videos.  It also lists at the top right of the UI how many images and videos, for me you can see it shows 1166 images and 39 videos.

Here's a screenshot, I tapped on Recent, I am only showing two pics, one partially colored out.

I want to hide this Recent, but I don't see any ability to do so.

Thanks!

@SamyIT It's not an "album" in the traditional sense. It uses an algorithm to determine what to display. Items shown exist only in the original album. They are not duplicate.

Hi @LongHiker

I called it a folder/directory, because I can click on an image under Recent and interact with it in every way, no different if I was viewing it under the actual album, and they can all be deleted from this Recent Path too...

So this Recent can't be hidden?

Samsung should of made this so a Recent History could of been cleared from this.

Thanks
