My year and a half old washer no longer fills with water while running a normal load. The only time it works is if I run it in the diagnostic mode. Makes no sense.

I’ve checked the hoses and the filter that sits between the hose and the machine. They’re clean.

Any other suggestions?

Hello,

I understand you've stated the troubleshooting steps recommended has not resolved the water filling matter and that is unfortunate. I would like to assist you regarding this concern and have provided this additional article for review- https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01203005/

The next suggestion if the concern is still present would be to have the washer serviced by a technician. You can use this service link to proceed with that aspect- https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/, or you can send the full model code and serial number by using one of the contact methods mentioned below:

Here’s what the manual says:

Make sure you press or tap Start/Pause (Hold to Start) after selecting the cycle and options. - Did this.
• Make sure the water taps are open. - done
• Are the mesh filters in the water inlets clogged? Clean the
mesh filters by brushing with a toothbrush. See page 48. - done
• Is the water supply cut off? If the water supply is cut off,
close the tap and power off. - done
• Straighten the water supply hoses. - done
• Open and close the door, and then press or tap Start/Pause
(Hold to Start). - done
• If the water pressure is low, it takes longer to start
washing. - done
• If the water level is not as high as necessary or lower than
expected, use the level selector to adjust the water level. - done

Make sure you did not swap the hot and cold hoses after cleaning the filters.

Does it fill on any cold or hot cycles? Or is the regular cycle the only issue?

Hoses are correct. It also doesn’t fill on any cycle at all (except in diagnostic mode where both cold and hot work as intended).

Verified that I'm not using flood safe hoses.
