Can't delete multiple messages at once

I have a Galaxy A 14. How do I delete multiple messages at once?

@Members_3yvIaW8    You normally just have to long press on one of them and then you can select the other messages you want to delete

It quit doing that on my 25 Ultra. It changed after the last Google update.
