Love my new phone except for the settings that constantly reset and the features that require constant workarounds. Control-freak samsung always resetting my app settings, gallery wont show any of my data (its all there in My Files however), and they force u into usi g their keyboard otherwise you eont have the handy microphone icon for text-to-speech. Sorry Gboard, i tried and tried but everytime it sarted working right, Samsung would come a day or two later and take away this feature. I stripped all the apps of their ability to change settings, i tried endlessly to clear cache and reinstall as needed but the stupid gallery still dont work and Samsung keeps a gun to your head sayi g you can use third party apps but are you sure you really want to do that. I do love this phobe, however, but i never had these problems with my A51

Hi techienerd2023, welcome to the Community, and thank you for reaching out. I can certainly see the frustration of having settings you personalized be constantly reset, in addition to Gallery not showing files, and other things. If your phone or tablet is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe mode feature. In Safe mode, your device won't run any third-party apps. This allows you to easily identify and remove the app that may be causing the problem. Use this guide for Safe Mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

If the behavior still occurs in Safe Mode, then your phone may need a simple spring cleaning. You can wipe the device's cache partition, which can help improve device behavior. Don't worry, this will only remove temporary files on your device, such as app cache. Follow these steps:
• Ensure the device is powered off. If the device is unresponsive/frozen, press and hold the Power button for approximately 10 seconds or until the device power cycles.
• Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Home button.
• While continuing to hold the Home and Volume Up buttons, press and hold the Power button until 'RECOVERY BOOTING' appears in the upper left then release all buttons.
• Select wipe cache partition. Utilize the Volume Up/Down buttons to highlight and the Power button to select.
• Select reboot system now. Option is highlighted, utilize the Power button to select.

If the behavior persists, the last troubleshooting step to try is a factory reset, which will wipe your device of all data and files currently on it, starting over like a fresh start. You can use this guide to back up the data you not wish to lose, as well as perform the factory reset, so follow it carefully: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician.
