Understanding the way files are written

Does anyone understand the way files are written? What does all the dots in red mean?

Idk, it could mean corruptions or something else.

I was thinking that or some kind of malware

The majority of my files are like that

@Qball123 The dots in red simply mean that there is no corresponding ASCII character to represent it.
