I pre-ordered the Samsung galaxy to pro and received the unit a couple of weeks ago.  The laptop was getting overheated with the fan running continuously even while running basic programs like Excel and Google Chrome web browsing.. No resource intensive programs were being run. It is probably due to the laptop being very thin with insufficient air space inside to cool down the CPU etc. The keyboard was getting very warm and the function bar near the display was hot to touch. I don't know whether it was a problem with the particular unit that I received or a problem with the design of the model itself. I was disappointed because in all other respects the laptop had excellent and latest specifications.  Not happy with the problem, I returned the laptop to Samsung.  Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

I can definitely understand your concern here. Let's try to alleviate some of the stress by trying this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01109648/ This should help with the fan noise and excessive heat. Please read the link in its entirety to reap the full benefit of the troubleshooting. If this does not help I recommend letting a service technician have a look. As we would like to gather additional information and look at this from a case-by-case basis, please provide the full model code and the serial number of the device as well as your best contact phone number, name, and email.

Same exact issue. I have 15" book2 pro 360 and between the function keys and the screen, it is very hot to touch. This can't be normal and i can hear the fans as well but the it stays pretty hot even i'm not running many application. Just normal use like browsing. This will definitely effect the life of this notebook. Samsung needs to come up with solution asap. Other than that, everything else is great and i really like this notebook.

Same issue here with a Galaxy book 2 pro 360 13". I am considering returning the device. It is a pity because except that issue everything is near perfect with the laptop.

Same here. the laptop gets really hot. I use a laptop riser to alleviate the issues and now trying to find an attachable one that'll work in both clamshell mode and tablet mode.

the one I have now that helps with the heat problem:  https://smile.amazon.com/Suturun-Ergonomic-Detachable-Computer-Compatible/dp/B088BZNBJP/

Trying something like this sometime in the coming week: https://smile.amazon.com/Portable-Adjustable-Stand-2PCS-Lightweight-Invisible/dp/B093QKTRVZ/
