I have been having this issue for a while now. The school I work at uses Samsung Chromebook 4, and recently, we have been getting to a point where they will not turn on whatsoever, even with the charger on. When you connect the charger, the LED goes through a cycle of color. It will flash red, green, then red again, and it will continue to do that. I have gone through every single forum, and nothing has come up. I can not get the devices to turn on, and when I do, it goes to a recovery mode saying, "Chrome OS missing or damaged; please remove all connected devices" There is nothing connected to the Chromebook except the charger itself, and if you remove the charger the Chromebook shuts off modality. Any help will be appreciated, and each day, more of these Chromebooks begin to suffer the same issue. Thank you!

Hi there, I can definitely understand the concern with your Chromebook not charging or turning on. It sounds like you've been through a lot of troubleshooting already. However, I would like to provide the following link to our guide on what steps to take if your Chromebook isn't charging or powering on:

If this does not help then this will require service. You have a couple of options based on your warranty.

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.
