ComputersI got a new galaxy book pro 360 delivered today and am unable to sign in to my Samsung account. I've updated all software and apps on the computer. I've spent hours on the phone with two different techs. I'm exhausted and about to return this $1,500 laptop because the one thing I bought it for - to be able to easily sync my notes to a windows machine that also functions like a tablet - doesn't work.
The full error text is:
"Update the app you just came from
The app you tried to sign in from is too out of date to connect to your Samsung account. Go to the About page in that app and update it. "
An okay button is the only option.
Has anyone ever experienced this maddening problem before, and, if so, how did you solve it other than returning it?

ComputersI'm not even able to get to where I can enter my Samsung id. What program did you eventually get to sign in? I did get signed in on Samsung Account, but still can't use any of the sync features except transferring one file at a time via Samsung flow which is not an ideal way to sync hundreds of notes.

Hi, I just want to say thank you for this!! Signing in with my Samsung account instead of Google worked for me too! My notes are now synced!

I had the same issue! I opened the Microsoft store and updated all the apps there and downloaded the Samsung account app. Opened the account app and logged into my Samsung account with my actual Samsung account email and password and it let me in! Everything is all sync'd up like it should be! Hope that helps!

ComputersHi. I had the same problem, and I finally solved it today.
I am not a very technical person, and I lack the precise vocabulary to express everything that I did--my apologies. Still, I'll give it a go if it's helpful for anyone.
This is what I did today--please note I do not know exactly which one of these actions solved the issue.
On my phone:
--I enabled Samsung Cloud and its fusion with OneDrive ("linked Microsoft account" in the Samsung account menu).
--I registered phone and laptop in Samsung Members.
--I made my phone "discoverable" via BlueTooth to my contacts.
--I left "Quick share" available for contacts only.
--I went into the "Link to Windows" menu, turned it on, and added the computer (the laptop gave me a number I typed on the phone to allow this.) Link to Windows is also enabled in "Advanced features."
Long story short, I enabled every sync and connectivity feature I could find on the phone. Then, on the laptop
--I added my phone via BlueTooth and followed the steps to "link my Android phone" (Windows menu.)
--At that point, all the Samsung services on the laptop allowed me to sign in--finally.
I read the answer that factory reset would take care of the issue--I did not do it because I am a scary chicken, and my computer knowledge is minimal. Anyways, something in the list mentioned above did it for my devices. So now they are communicating well.
I hope this helps.
