Can't text on folded home screen

On the folded home screen of my zFold6, there are six (6) icons crowded into the textbox. There are so many that I can't click into the textbox in order to access the keyboard! The only things I can do are: send a voice text or an emoji or an photo or an AI-generated text message. See the screenshot below.

How can I get to the keyboard? 

PS: I don't have sausage fingers 😉 haha

Have you tried going into text settings to fix or remove icon ?

Thank you. I do see an option to remove Gemini AI....but it seems kinda sad to remove a 'new' feature just so I can access what I think should be a 'standard' feature

@RLK96 I'm not experiencing that on my Fold 6.

Do you have any screen magnification on? The Text entry box on mine starts further to the left of the home button.

What is the purple icon?  That is not present in my text entry area.

Yes, that purple icon is hogging alot of the space...that icon provides an option to switch SIM cards. For some reason, I was assigned a virtual SIM by my service provider in addition to the physical card that's in my phone🤷

I guess that you will have to rotate to landscape to get a bigger text entry area.

Oh my goodness!!! I've been a longtime zFold user but I was not clever enough to come up with that clever hack! Duh, of course, landscape texting on the front home screen is a great solution.

If you rotate to landscape, enter a character and rotate back to portrait, you will have a larger text entry.
