I just got off the phone with SoFi after I wasn't able to add my SoFi debit card to Samsung Wallet. When I tried to add the card, it asks for verification and presents me with SoFi's customer service number.

The SoFi rep walked me though adding the card to a digital wallet via the SoFi app, but Samsung Wallet isn't an option there, just Google Pay, which I don't use.

How is it that Samsung Money (which is literally just a regular SoFi checking/savings account, as far as I can tell) exists at what I assume must be the highest level of compatibility on offer, but I can't add my regular old SoFi debit card to this app?

The SoFi rep helped me submit a complaint/feature request about the issue. My phone is a Z Fold4 if that matters. Hopefully the situation changes; it just seems like such a glaring oversight.

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your concern with your SoFi card not being able to be added to the Samsung Wallet and I would be happy to look into this further for you. Based on my research SoFi is a compatible card with the Samsung Wale Samsung Wallet app. Give this link a try for more information on compatible cards: https://www.samsung.com/us/samsung-pay/compatible-cards/

As you were unable to add your SoFi debit card to the Samsung wallet app I would recommend reaching out to our Samsung wallet team directly using the following link for their contact information: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Samsung-Apps-and-Services/Samsung-Support-Acknowledgement/td-p/2...
