I can relate. I was also 8/28 then 8/30 and now 9/6...makes ya want cry doesn't it!

High demand in the product can push product availability and shipping dates out. Also, due to increased bad weather across the nation, shipping companies have been missing pickup and drop-off dates. Just be mindful this is a consistent issue across the tech industry on every newly released items from PlayStation to headphones. I would recommend checking local store availability such as Best Buy for the immediate pickup.

I pre-ordered for a trade-in discount. Major reason for PRE-ORDER. I understand shipping delays to an extent but it seems that is the industry excuse for everything.

@OldSoldier If you do some research you will find that Samsung paused shipment for a while to deal with a quality control issue. I'm glad that they paused to address the issue rather than ship problematic products.

I knew that as well and understood the reason for the action taken. However, they have apparently corrected that issue yet the delays continue. I will add to this post when the estimated delivery gets pushed past Labor Day.

@OldSoldier Not sure if you have ever worked in a production environment. After the issue is identified, a solution found, then you have to change processes, maybe acquire new parts, then refill the pipeline and start production. It is not an immediate turn around.

I've been a Samsung product user for years and as I said I do appreciate the fact they halted shipment due to the defects that were identified. I went through the Note 7 fiasco and know the reason for caution. It appears that they have began shipment again and poof delays.

@OldSoldier Same, my first Samsung was the ill fated Note 7. And still it impressed me so much that I have been with Samsung since.

I ordered mine on 7/21, and I received a notification today saying that they were shipped this morning via UPS and that I should expect delivery on the 28th.
