How to get trade-in back?

I traded in my roommate's old Airpods to get my Buds3 Pro. If I return my Buds, do I get the old Airpods back or am I **bleep** out of them?

@Struff The only way time that I have ever heard of a trade in item being returned is if the device fails trade in criteria.
