Galaxy Note PhonesWhat finally worked for me was I called my husband and when he answered, I looked at the screen and in the top right corner there were 3 vertical dots for a drop down menu and it had the option to add more volume. Adter doing that, I was finally able to hear.

Galaxy Note PhonesWhat i did to fix my phone because volume was super low, i cleaned the speaker by pouring peroxide on the top part of phone not drenching it then using a q-tip to tap on the speaker portion in attempt to loosen dirt, then i dried any remaining liquid of course, phone is loud like it should be, before i had to press the phone against my head or use speaker phone, now i can hear loud and clear.. may sound risky but worked like a charm. I was about to buy a new phone it was that bad

Galaxy Note PhonesI used alcohol in a spray bottle and a toothbrush. Spray where your ear goes on the phone with alcohol and brush it with the toothbrush. Wipe it dry and blow it with your mouth real hard and repeat then give it a try it work for me. I think the holes are so small where your ear goes it's easily covered by oil and dirt throughout the day from use.
