Galaxy Note Phonesthis is what I'm using and it works perfectly.
make sure to:
1) delete all previously saved fingerprints.
2) have touch sensitivity under display enabled.
3) re-register fingerprints after 1 & 2 are done.
like my response if this helps thanks

Galaxy Note PhonesTry this to solve your problem: go to settings/display scroll down to "touch sensitivity" and turn-on.
Hopefully this works!

Galaxy Note Phoneshave you registered fingerprint before applying screen protector? or after?
best way is to remove the screen protector, but try re-register your fingerprint with screen protector on.
