Typing on YouTube comments freezes keyboard on screen

If you want to type on YouTube to comment or live chat it lags the keyboard on the phone and even after minimizing the YouTube app the keyboard stays until you reset the phone.

Are you using the native Samsung Keyboard or a 3rd party app like Gboard/Swiftkey?

Samsung, but when I switched to Gboard after the 5th crash it also did the same thing

Try Settings>Apps>YouTube>Storage>Clear cache. If that doesn't work, clear data instead. Clearing data will essentially reset the app and you will lose all settings.
