Samsung I am getting very frustrated with your new S8 Plus and Bixby. When the Bixyby Voice first rolled out it was working great then the Bixby Voice activation stopped working after an update ( Bixby would not wake up using my voice would only work when manually pressing the designated Bixby button).  I tried clearing cache, deleting data on Bixby Voice, and Bixby Home. After doing this Bixby voice would would say when trying to train my voice Bixby Can Not Hear You no matter what I tried with the distance of the phone or how loud I spoke.

I also deleted the Cache Partition but it didn't work.  After numerous days Samsung Support contacted me via Facebook messaging and suggested that I uninstall updates to Bixby Voice and Bixby Home.  I was able to retrain my voice and I was Happy.  The next day the Bixby Voice Activation stopped working again.

Samsung, when will this be fixed.  This is the first time I have thought about getting rid of Samsung and I have been with you since the S3 and and all Televisions are Samsung.

Please provide me with an answer to a workaround or when will the update fixing this problem be out?  You have known for weeks that others have the same problem!

I have attached a screen shot when you try to train my voice when starting Bixby.

Thank you

Doug

here is the problem, I have a deep voice and could not get bixby wake up to work, I got my wife to to try it after training the voice and it worked, this is after spending hours going through apps and settings etc. so I then did some more test I got 3 male voices to try none of them worked, then I got 3 female voices guess what thye all worked. So the issue is not the phone or any apps in most cases but its samsungs software that is not up to speed and clearly shows a fault. surely samsung must be aware of this but yet keeps loyal customers frustrated by not being up front.

Not a software issue. It's one of your apps using your mic permission

Oh my god I also have a deep voice and just tried in a girly higher voice and it works?!

So if I'm to want it to work I have to not use it in public.

This really needs a fix.

@userUu2mxH4li5: I am sorry to hear this. Give this a try:

 1. Settings
 2. Apps
 3. 3 Vertical Dots
 4. Show System Apps
 5. Bixby Voice
 6. Storage
 7. Clear Cache
 8. Clear Data

After you have completed these steps please restart your device.

by chance do you have Kik app installed? if you do then you need to disable the microphone permission for that app. If you don't have the Kik App then it's a third party app that is using your microphone in the background and you'll need to go and disable it and then Bixby should work
