How to make everything show as portrait or landscape mode?

How to change how you view - portrait or landscape. Home page is portrait. Anything I click on rotates to landscape. How do I change so everything show portrait.

swipe down from the notification bar and you'll see a bunch of circles.

One of the circles will either say landscape or rotation.

If it's on landscape, click it so it says rotation then once it's in portrait mode click it again so it says portrait.

If it says rotation, click it so it says portrait.
