How to set favorites on my messages

Does anyone know how to put the "favorites" names back in alphabetical order by first name in messages? I did an update today and now my names are all scrambled.

Find contacts in setting click the + look for sort by first or last name

They should do it by date, name, etc to view or organize in different ways

Go to phone contacts. Click the 3 dots. Select "reorder favorites
