Galaxy S PhonesMy screen flickers and goes blank when sunlight hits the view finder on the phone. In the house or shade it doesn't do that. I can even use a flash light and point it at the view finder and it flickers and the screen goes blank.

Galaxy S PhonesTo resolve the symptoms you are experiencing give these steps a try:

Galaxy S Phones(was it perhaps UI 3.1 ? It would be nice if updates were more transparent about what is getting installed! )

Galaxy S PhonesI would contact a Samsung Experience Store or your Local Ubreakifix, https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung , and have them give your device a look. This could be a Main Board that needs to be replaced. If either of these are not available near you I would suggest contacting 1-800-786-7864 and explaining your issue and mailing this device in for repair. This should be an in-warranty repair unless you have damage or have tripped the water sensors.
For additional service options, you can also reach out via 1. Facebook Messenger: http://m.me/samsungsupport 2. Twitter: https://twitter.com/messages/compose?recipient_id=18768513- 3. Private Message: http://bit.ly/2XERsky

Galaxy S PhonesAfter the recent update, my s20 FE is now unusable in the daylight. It flickers and then goes black. As soon as you get out of the sun, it works fine. What's the deal? Not cool.. I've had this phone for not even 2 months.

Galaxy S PhonesI also found that even with autobrightness turned off, if I maximized brightness manually it started to flicker again. outside, max brightness is necessary

Galaxy S PhonesI have the same exact issue, completely unusable outdoors now. I hope Samsung fixes this sooner rather than later.
