Samsung Galaxy flashlight brightness adjustment?

How come all of the flashlights that come with the majority of Samsung phones have a weak projection? However using a third party software most definitely improves on its capabilities. How come?

@Parago Did you know that if you press and hold on the flashlight icon, you can adjust it's brightness?

Thank you. It worked. Now I just have to wait until nighttime to see how much better it is.
