Hello all,

I recently purchased an unlocked S10. The only issue I seem to have at this time is with sending MMS messages through the native app on the phone. When I use a third party app everything works fine. The problem is that I REALLY like the new native app and all of the features associated with it so I'm eager to find a resolution to my problem.

I have literally tried everything. Anything I try to send a picture/gif or anything of the sort I get an error back reading "invalid address entered". I am now at a loss! Currently, I am using Google's third party messages app.

Please help,

Thanks!

I'm having the same issue...can't send group messages (this is a new unlocked phone), can't  send photos.  I've  never been able to do this.  I've  switched sim cards AND carrier!  No one seems to be able to fix this issue!   I've followed steps for troubleshooting this issue multiple times.   Should I be returning the phone?

Why should I have to get a new sim card? It has only been an issue since the last update.  So everyone that is having these issues needs to get a new sim card?  This seems like a pretty common thing since the last update.

@useroee6TbrDmQ Can you send a PM here with your model number and IMEI so I can further look into this for you?

I have the same issue T-Mobile S10+ and previous S9+

Performed app clearing cache and data.

Check APN settings

Reset phone network settings

Clearing system cache

Changed SIM

Etc.

I called T-Mobile multiple times and I got with a Message specialist. Per our troubleshooting: The issue started from my S9 when updated to Android 9 / with Samsung One UI. Same issue with S10. They indicated the issue has been already reported to Samsung to fix something from the One UI that is causing this issue

I am having the same problem with my Samsung s9+. I bought it unlocked and I use straight talk and I've never had a problem with them before and it's just the group messages. When I got my phone in November, I didn't have issues with the group chats and it started in March 2019

I have the Samsung Note 10+, Android 10, One UI v2.1.  I have tried every step listed in this thread to try and resolve the MMS Invalid Address Entered issue with absolutely no success.  I read someone's thread on here that Samsung is aware of the issue and related to the One UI.  I'm not sure if Samsung has addressed this issue or not as the problem persists.  I have tried other messaging apps and have same issue.  I use the Samsung Messages app.  This issue is intermittent.  I have cleared cache/data, reset app preferences, etc.  Again, I did every step in this thread except a factory reset which like a lot of us, we don't want to do.  My carrier is VZW and they didn't know after calling a few times.  It always resorts to factory resetting the device according to my carrier.  I have tested this by sending, for example, 5 MMS messages in a group text, and 1 or 2 of those MMS messages will fail with Invalid Address Entered.  The phone numbers are cell numbers in my Contacts and legit.  I need some help please.  Thank you.
