Is it best to get him his own samsung account or set it up with my account? He's 9, so I want to be able to monitor it.

Set up his own account. If he is logged in on your account, he'll have access to everything within it.

You can download an app to monitor.

Also, through the digital wellbeing app, you can set his phone up to restrict the time limit on certain apps.

Hope this helps!

Do you know if samsung has some sort of family sharing for apps? I know Google does.

For OneDrive and other Microsoft services, the minimum age is 18 years old (13-17 requires parental consent).
