Email app only doesn't show how many emails I have

My email icon on my Galaxy S21 does not show how many email messages I have .

I came across an app on my phone that will let you have access to any or all email accounts. My email account is not there and I can't seem to add it 

So, how do I get my email icon to show how many messages I have?

There are dozens of email providers and email clients, of which you didn't specify either

@Pellinore To see how many new messages you have on your email icon you need to enable "App icon badges" in Settings -> Notifications.

I've done this before. All other apps seem to have the little orange bubble with the number of messages.. but not my email one. Any other ideas?

So how do you get rid of the clear blue bubble that moves to the app your trying to open? It acts like it is trying to block me from opening the app and sometimes it does just that.

Text messages did not transfer over from 9 plus to S21 Ultra it has different versions any idea on how to transfer?
