Pray you don't have a Google product you can save yourself a lot of headache and just buy a new phone and get a new number. Anybody else you should be all right you'll get it back how I don't know

For some reason my contacts list has disappeared, I only show 6 recent entries. How do I recover my contacts list?

Check the Contacts Trash.  Contacts-> Hamburger Menu in upper left->Trash
