Message icon stays on screen

How come all of a sudden I have an icon of a text message that just stays on my screen the whole time. It's actually a picture of my daughter since she is the one that sent the text. I've never had this before and just started this afternoon

Bubbles. It's part of the new notifications.

Type 'floating' in the Settings search, the tap 'floating notifications'.
