I have a 2012 Dodge Caravan. Suddenly, a couple of weeks ago, my samsung bluetooth will connect to the van, but no sound. I can't hear caller and they can't hear me, but screen shows we're connected. I've done all of the pairing things suggested online. I've restarted phone. I erased wifi passwords. Does anyone know what is wrong? There's either a setting on phone that changed with recent update, or something changed with van?? I'm going nuts....

Galaxy S21Once you are paired to the car, the car's microphone takes over just like it does when you use headphones. I would think it's a problem with the car's mic before I look to the phone.

Galaxy S21Have you gone into the BT settings for the device to make sure it was connected for calls and audio? When the phone is connected, go to the BT settings and select the settings gear next to the connected device. It should say connected for, and then there should be a slider for calls and audio - both should be on.

Galaxy S21I assure you, I am not a bot. I have no idea what you did or didn't do as far as troubleshooting, so I made a suggestion. You don't like the suggestion so automatically I'm a bot? I don't know this issue has been going on for years - if it has, this is the first post I've ever seen about it, so it can't be that common. It sounds as if the Bluetooth is not properly handing over the call protocols (for lack of a better term) to the paired devices. Does the sound still come out of the phone's speakers or is there no sound at all? Have you put in an actual error report and sent logs to Samsung utilizing support tab in the members app or through the device care settings on your phone? Calling customer support is not going to get you a fix, as they cannot examine your device logs. An error report submitted to the developers might.

Galaxy S21I had/have the same problem. My headset just all of a sudden stop working. I looked up some info and found that it stems from some kind of update Samsung recently did.
This worked for me and may work for you. Try bending your phone slightly so that it kind of loosens it up. For whatever reason, when I did it, my headset works now. I still plan on taking my phone to store when I get time but this is a quick fix for you. I got info from a Reddit post.
