Recent update messed up my icons

Received an Android update this morning and now my icons are all the same color and they don't look like they used to look like please fix so that my icons are the way they were

Merge to your galaxy themes. Then click on the menu. Then go to settings. Click on my stuff where you'll find my icons click on that.

And you can always get new icons themes in the Galaxy themes store

This is probably a one ui 5 thing.
It is probably using the color pallet for the app icons.

To fix this, follow these instructions:
Navigate to settings
Click wallpaper and style
Select color pallete
And then switch 'apply to app icons' to off.
Then press apply.

Your icons should be back to their original state.

Merry Christmas and thanks again. You know I do have one more question. If I have an unlocked phone and want to change carriers do I have to do a full reset to move to the other carrier

Merry Christmas to you as well! If it works the same as my phone, you just turn the phone off, swap the sim card, then turn it back on amd you should be good to go.

I don't like the new icons either.  I am able to change the app icons via a combination of the Galaxy store & Pure Icon Changer.  This only changes the appearance of the icon on my wallpaper.  I want to be able to change how the icons appear in my app drawer & lock screen.  Is there a way to bring the old icons back?
