I have an S21 FE 5g that's 2 years old. About a month ago my phone app stopped working intermittently. It starts working again once I restart it, but in 12 to 24 hours it again stops receiving or making calls. If I try to make a call, the phone immediately just hangs up. Any ideas?

Hello, welcome to the Community, and thanks for reaching out. I can certainly understand the inconvenience of your phone calls just hanging up on you, and the restarts only being temporary fixes. The first thing to try is seeing if a third-party application is responsible for this behavior (assuming you are not using a third-party phone application to make said calls). This can be done with Safe Mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

If you are using a third-party application for calls, try uninstallation and reinstallation, clearing the app's cache and data (https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/#:~:text=Open%20Settings%2C%20and%20then%20swi....), and if that isn't effective, reach out to the app's developer for further assistance.

If it's the default phone app, and the behavior continues under Safe Mode, it may be time to try a factory reset. Follow this guide here carefully: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

Also, be sure to try and reset your network settings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HFfbhzKQv0

Lastly, try contacting your carrier to see if they can assist further, as there may be service-related things affecting your calls.

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician. For service in the U.S., you can take the phone to a local U.S. walk-in service location https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung or to ship the phone in for service, please reach out to us via one of the following options: 1. Facebook Messenger: http://m.me/samsungsupport 2. Twitter: https://twitter.com/messages/compose?recipient_id=18768513- 3.
