Can you move the photos out of the recent album in the gallery and have them then be removed from the "Recent" album?

@SCaya I don't believe the Recent album is actually an album. It looks like it is generated/filtered view which appear in the Gallery as an album. So it is showing you files that reside in other albums but the "Recent" algorithm thinks is recent and is displayed in the Recent album.

As proof, open MyFiles and navigate to Internal storage -> DCIM. Scan through the folders there. You will see all of your albums except Recent. It is not a true album and therefore does not have a folder.

Yes. You can create an album/folder and move them in there.

Correct, but they are still in that recent album. Then if you delete them from the recent album, they are also removed from the album you put them in.

Correct. Recent stores all photos and images on the phone. It's the default/landing page folder in stocked gallery app, as you know. Third party app, maybe
