Galaxy S22Samsung Galaxy S22 - SM-S901U
One UI Version: 6.0
Android Version: 14
Android Security Patch Level: March 1, 2024
3-30-2024
So, I have spent hours on the web looking for answers, customer service calls, chatting with AT&T, and last but not least in the (authorized dealer, not corporate) store today.
All of a sudden, my missed calls just stopped going to my google voice number as they have for countless years now. The calls are just dropped after several rings and/or go receive a busy signal.
My personal phone number is linked just fine, as the "missed call" alerts still come to my email.
I do NOT use (any app) visual voicemail, only google voice.
All the things I have tried:
- Reset mobile network
- Removed all of the conditional call forwarding, then added them back with the *61*, *62*, *67* commands
- Powered Off the phone after each new resolution attempt
- Had AT&T disable voicemail
- Had them re-enable voicemail, then re-tried the conditional call forwarding commands
I added my personal phone number as well as the google voice number as the voicemail phone number. Neither worked either. - Regular old school AT&T voicemail (call your voicemail, enter a passcode, then audibly listen to voicemails and press keys to delete, save, etc.) works at this time (not what I want)
- Checked all of my google voice settings (they are the same)
- When "transferring all calls" to my google voice phone number, then the google voice number picks up with voice mail. Otherwise, disconnected calls or busy signal received by the caller when calling my personal cell number.
It has nothing to do with the google voice app either. I use a different GV phone number on the app on my phone now and I use the web version for this google phone specifically for voice mail.
AT&T states this must be a software issue. My concern is that "when all calls are transferred", google voice picks up as it is supposed to. So, why doesn't it work when conditional call forwarding is activated? I changed no settings or anything prior to this issue happening.
Please help.
