Galaxy S22I have an S22 Ultra purchased through T-Mobile. It was unlocked a long time ago, and I have used it with various SIMs abroad.
Recently, I switched to a Verizon MVNO, US Mobile. I got extremely slow data speeds, in the 1 Mbps range for both download and upload, on my S22 Ultra. Meanwhile, in the same room at home, a Verizon 5G modem/gateway, model ARC-XCI55AX, is able to get >100 Mbps download speed.
It's been suggested that there might be an issue in terms of which bands my S22 Ultra supports. Verizon might be using n77 or C-band for data. And it doesn't appear that my T-mobile version, version unlocked, can connect to it.
Can anyone say if this is a matter of hardware differences with the radios, or merely firmware differences that blocks certain bands ?
If it is the later, where can I find the Verizon branded firmware to flash on my phone to make it compatible with Verizon's n77 band
