Wife's S22+ wasn't sitting in its silicone case right, and didn't allow use of the phone buttons.

Removed the silicone case and witnessed the back of the phone was bulging allowing a view inside of phone. Phone was hot too.

Took the phone to factory T-Mobile store for warranty replacement and was told it it didn't qualify for warranty replacement since it was "physically damaged" from overheated battery damaging the phone's housing.

Really?

Looks like it's time for you to upgrade to the S24 Ultra.

Their web page says they don't cover "battery issues" anyway. I assume this is to encourage the customer to pay extra for one of T-Mobile's device protection plans.
