My Ultra 22 stopped being able to connecting consistently and often even when right next to a tower or outside a AT&T store in October of 23. I tried everything with AT&T, the insurance and Samsung just to be told by AT&T that it was a known issue between AT&T and Samsung. When I asked what the solution was they told me they had none and their corporate office informed them to tell customers to talk to Samsung. Called Samsung and they also had no solution and the only suggestion from both was to get a new phone and from Samsung also to change carriers. I am still paying for a phone that doesn't work unless I am directly linked to WiFi. I have been with Samsung and AT&T for decades, a loyal customer and this was how they treated me, no accountability, no apologies and willingness to fix an issue that is theirs. So as soon as I pay off this **bleep** I am switching to Verizon

I don't know if it was a result of an update at that time, but I know the only response I got was buy a new phone or switch carrier. It's only with the 22s, and yes tons of others have had this issue since June of 22.

This issue is connectivity. It will not connect to the internet often if I am not directly connected to a wifi network. It shows bars and AT&T on the top left but then it will say I am not registered on any network. It will also show no connection even when I am right next to a tower. It's not consistent, but I'd say 65-75% of the time, it's not working. I got a few more payments, and I'm done.

That would indicate Sim card or antenna issue it may need repair

AT&T replaced card, three times, did all the usual and way more. I thought the antenna as well but as I was told and still continue to hear, this goes beyond that as sooo many people are also having this issue and AT&T as well as Samsung stated it was a known issue and nothing they could do about it. Literally.

Does anyone else in your household or anyone else you know have a similar problem with an s22? Could it just be the area you're in?

You've been told it's a known issue between AT&T and Samsung's A22 and that neither has a fix for it.  Sounds like some of the A22's antennas are not compatible with AT&T's network.  So, it looks like your only options would be to purchase a more compatible phone (Samsung or not) or switch carriers. There are people on here asking if they should upgrade their perfectly functional 3-month-old S24s in favor of the S25 and you hesitate to update a 2ā€“3-year-old malfunctioning device. I realize these phones are not cheap, but which is worse - continuing with a phone that does not work the way you want, or finding something that works?  What's the cost of that in time and effort and frustration?
