Galaxy S22Hi,
My phone just updated to UI 6.1. After the reboot, I entered my pin number then I had a screen welcoming me to One UI 6.1 and the only thing I could do was to click "Explore". So I did it. When asked to connect to my Samsung account, I chose to connect with my Google account but I got a "Treatment failure" message (sorry, my phone is in French so the exact error is "Échec du traitement"). If I try to log with my email address, I get ""Erreur réseau" (network error).
So, I'm basically locked out of my phone. I did the reboot thing to clear the cache 3 times and it doesn't help. My phone was connected to a wifi network during the update and according to the icons I see at the top of the screen, it still is. I also have access to my mobile network.
I've tried to find a solution for the past hour and I'm starting to lose my cool.
I'd really appreciate if somone could help understand the issue and find a solution.
Thank you!

Galaxy S221. Refresh the System Cache
A problem with the system cache may cause Samsung update issues. The system cache on your Samsung device is a collection of temporary files your phone uses to load the system and Android apps as quickly as possible.
Updates may cause temporary or permanent glitches in the system cache or even corrupt some files, causing all sorts of issues and slow performance problems.
You can fix these glitches by refreshing your system cache:
- Step 1: Power off your Samsung phone.
- Step 2: Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Bixby
- Step 3: Press and hold the Power button while holding the Volume Up and Bixby
- Step 4: Wait for the green Android logo to appear.
- Step 5: Once the Installing system update message appears, release all keys.
- Step 6: Press Volume Downto navigate the Android system recovery menu to the Wipe Cache Partition
- Step 7: Confirm your action by pressing the Power
- Step 8: Press the Volume Downbutton several times to select Yes, then press the Power button again.
- Step 9: Wait for the system to complete the cache deletion and select Reboot system now.
- Step 10: Press the Powerbutton to restart your phone.
You should now be able to use your phone without any problems.
2. Restart Your Device
You can fix temporary issues and glitches by restarting your Samsung device. Regular updates can cause bugs affecting your phone’s performance and system stability. A restart can clear the RAM and the system to prevent system issues and memory leaks.
Here’s how to restart your Samsung device:
- Step 1: Press the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously and hold them for about 12 seconds to engage the device power cycle.
- Step 2: Once the Maintenance Boot Mode appears, press the Volume Up/Down button to select Normal Boot.
- Step 3: Wait for the restart to complete.
When your phone restarts, check if it works as it should.

Galaxy S22This just happened to me. Tried power off and restart, both didn't work... still got blank white screen. Called Samsung support and they advised me to remove my sim card and restart. Phone apps then appeared as normal. Then I powered off again and inserted my sim, then I could toggle tgru the 6.1ui info screens without getting blank screen and phone then worked.
So dumb of samsung
